In the 2011 Australian census the population of Parmelia was 6,149 when there were 3,066 Females and 3,083 Males living there. Parmelia is located in the City of Kwinana. Parmelia is close to schools, public parks, and a new shopping centre which is currently being rebuilt. Parmelia is a family orientated suburb with many young families and retirees and is a very livable suburb of Perth.
