Koongal is a suburb of Rockhampton in the Rockhampton Region, Queensland, Australia. At the 2011 Australian Census Koongal recorded a population of 4,728. Koongal is located on a small section of the Fitzroy River. Koongal is a residential suburbs, four km east of central Rockhampton, adjoining the north side of the Fitzroy River.
