Cookernup is a suburb of South Western, Western Australia and is about 116 kms south of WA's capital city of Perth. In the 2011 Australian census the population of Cookernup was 772 when there were 366 Females and 406 Males living there. Cookernup is a town in the South West of Western Australia near the South Western Highway, between Waroona and Harvey. Cookernup is a small agricultural town with services offered from nearby Harvey, and there have been applications for subdivision in the area.
